This course will increase awareness about multicultural couples, teach the obstacles they face as a couple, discuss therapeutic interventions that can assist these couples, and learn how choice/reality therapy techniques can be utilized with this population.
About Your Instructor
Dannette Patterson, LPC has over 20 years in the healthcare field. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Choice Theory/ Reality Therapy Certified, and Licensed Vocational Nurse. She believes in a holistic approach to therapy that includes incorporating the body, mind, and spirit to achieve optimal healing. She has extensive work with military families, along with providing behavioral services for youth and families in foster care and the juvenile probation department.
Monifa Robinson, LCSW, MPA has over 18 years experience in the healthcare industry. She is a graduate of Smith College School for Social Work (Northampton, MA) with her MSW; Troy State University (Atlanta, GA) with her MPA; and Clark Atlanta University (Atlanta, GA) with her BA in Psychology. Monifa has provided counseling, training and consultation services to various populations, including but not limited to military families, substance abuse clients and individuals within the criminal justice system. She is dedicated to helping individuals live meaningful and more productive lives.
