About Your Instructor
Michael Jones, Ph. D., LPC-S, NCC, BC-TMH is a licensed psychotherapist specializing in adults and adolescents. He maintains his private practice, Renewed Vision Counseling Services, in Searcy, AR. He began his career in counseling working with drug and alcohol addicted clientele in an outpatient setting. He has also worked in counseling settings that include: community mental health, psychiatric hospital, school based mental health, and church based pastoral counseling. He has practiced as a counselor in the state of Arkansas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. He is also a counselor educator.
Melissa is a therapist, coach, instructor, wife, and mom of three who “does it all” by living and promoting alignment over balance. She’s an Alignment Coach and founder of Goal Driven Coaching, a virtual personal wellness platform; as well as a Distance Counselor and founder of Goal Driven Counseling, an online group private practice. She most recently returned to her alma mater, The University of Missouri-St. Louis, as an adjunct instructor to teach a graduate level elective course on telehealth.
Melissa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH) through the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE). She researched telemental health extensively and believes her success with completely online platforms continues to show the need for flexibility and accessibility when accessing services. To date, Melissa has shared her knowledge on the subject with platforms such as NPR, Blackdoctor.org, the National Association of Social Workers, and various conferences and trainings. Melissa is passionate about self care, normalizing mental health, and is an advocate for community-based wellness education. Her goal is to continue to merge mental health care and technology for wellness and solutions. In every way, she is “The Virtual Clinician”.
